Summer Programs 2026

For 3 weeks this summer young creatives can take part in a variety of activities in the Art Room.  Monday MakerSpace and Wednesday workshops are open for children ages 6 and older.

MakerSpace is open Art Room time to explore process art activities.  Each Monday will have a variety of supplies available to try and time to create independently but not a directed lesson or project.  MakerSpace is great for kids who like to tinker and try out using different art media.  

Wednesday Workshops are directed specific projects with a final product to take home.  

Terrific Tie Dye will be to learning how to twist and tie a t-shirt to then dying it with fabric dye.  White t-shirts will be supplied.

In the Squishmallow session, participants will spend time designing their own Squishmallow character and then create a 3D version on a canvas using felt, fabric, and accessories.  All materials provided. 

Silly Sausage dogs will give participants the opportunity to use paint, decoupage and other fun collage items to make their own adorable 3D puppy pal sculpture to take home. 

 Sign ups are through the Class for Kids. 

Children need to be have completed P1 and entering P2 in August.

The schedule for the day is for 2 hours which goes quick as the kids are very busy creating!  We don’t stop for a snack but children should bring a water bottle. 

Aprons are provided however, please have children come in clothes that are ok to get messy.  

Terrific Tie Dye Tote Bags

13 & 14 July

This 2 day workshop for kids ages 10 and older will start with learning how to twist or fold fabric for different effects then using dye to tie dye a canvas bag. Day 2 will start with creating a design then using a variety of techniques to apply it using fabric paint and fabric oil pastels to the dyed canvas bag made the day before. 

Polymer Clay & Create

20 & 21 July

2 day workshop for kids ages 10 and older to learn the basics of polymer clay in a fun hands-on way! Kids will learn to condition, blend, and shape their own colourful creations—perfect for making jewellery or small trinkets. No experience is needed, and all materials are provided. Kids will take home a finished project that is uniquely theirs at the end of the 2 days. Dress in clothes ok to get messy and bring a water bottle. Please no food in the Art Room.

Mixed Media Canvas

27 & 28 July

Explore a variety of mixed media during this 2 day camp for ages 10 and older to create an individual wall canvas using acrylic paints, stencils, paint pens and a variety of collage items. Dress for mess and bring a water bottle but please no food.
